COMPITITIVE EXAMINATIONS

JEE-Main and JEE-Advanced:

Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) is an all India common entrance examination which is conducted for admission in various engineering courses. In 2012, CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) has announced this common examination in place of AIEEE and IIT-JEE. JEE (Joint Entrance Examination) is being conducted into two parts, JEE-Main and JEE-Advanced.

  • JEE-Main exam is to admission in IIITs (Indian Institutes of Information Technology), National Institutes of Technology, CFTIs (Central Funded Technical Institute), etc.
  • JEE-Advanced is for admission in Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT), Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER), and the Indian School of Mines(ISM), Dhanbad
As IIT’s, IISERs, and ISM are the most premier and prestigious engineering and science colleges in India, the candidates have to clear the second level of exam JEE-Advanced for securing admission in them. Only top candidates of JEE-Mains are eligible to appear for JEE-Advanced exam. The candidates who clear JEE-Advanced exam have the opportunity to join either of the IIT’s, IISERs, or ISM. The candidates who clear JEE-Mains but are not eligible for JEE-Advanced can seek admission in other engineering colleges like Indian Institute of Information Technology, National Institute of Technology and followed by other government and private engineering colleges.

EAMCET :

Engineering Agricultural and Medical Common Entrance Test is an entrance examination required for admission to most engineering and medical colleges in the state of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. The examination is conducted by APSCHE (Andhra Pradesh State council for Higher Education)

KCET:

CPT :

The CPT or Common Proficiency Test is the first level of Chartered Accountancy examinations in India.A person can register for CPT after completing Grade 10 and take the exam after completing High School (Grade 12). It is an objective type examination that covers four basic subjects divided into namely Accounting, Mercantile Laws, Economics and Quantitative Aptitude. CPT exams are held in June and December in paper pencil mode. On-line CPT exams are also conducted periodically. The test is exempted for the Graduates, Post Graduates and the students having equivalent degrees. Commerce graduates with 55% and other graduates with 60% can take direct admission for IPCC.
